Hey everyone, homeowner here.
Carrier 24ABC6 system, about 9 years old. Started today — thermostat set to 72, indoor temp is 81 and climbing. Outdoor unit is running (fan spinning, compressor humming). Indoor blower is running. Air coming out of vents is barely cool, almost room temp.
I changed the filter last weekend. Coil outside looks dirty but not awful. I haven’t touched anything else.
Is there anything safe for me to check before I call a pro? Or is this definitely a “”shut it off and call”” situation?
